Question:
Why nude recreation?
Answer:
Answers vary, but several members of the Northcoast Naturists say disrobing
liberates themes
"When I take off my clothes, I am taking off my outer life," says Marilyn
M., a librarian from Akron. A tall, attractive woman Marilyn keeps her age a
secret but reveals that she and her husband, Brent, have been nudists for 20
years.
Larry P., a 41 year old Cleveland mechanic, describes nudism as a high.
"Once people try it, they can't get their clothes on," he says. More than
two years ago, Larry experienced his first "high" at a nude beach in Palm
Beach County, Florida. He says initially he felt awkward, but the uneasiness
soon passed. Now he is trying to persuade his girlfriend to join him in club
activities.
Robert Kansa can barely contain his enthusiasm when he discusses nudism. The
37 year old graphic illustrator and his 39 year old wife, Mary, a dental
hygienist, dnve from Copley to attend club events. Sometimes their sons, 10
year old Geoff and 8 year old Alex, join them. The couple have been nudists
for six years.
Standing near the cardiovascular equipment at a Rocky River fitness club,
Robert wears nothing but a smile and a ring in his belly button as he
compares nudism to the comfort of bare feet. "You know how good it is to
take your shoes off?" he asks rhetorically.
