Question:
It's that time of year again and I need to start thinking about closing
the pool (20x40 inground). Time to get out the ratty old pool cover and
aqua-blocks. I've been thinking about those loop-loc pool covers. Are
they really much better? They're expensive. Can I install it myself,
which brands are better and where is a good place to get it?
Answer:
My neighbor has one and likes it, but he has the mesh type which allows little
debri to get in the pool and every year the pool water turns green. I have the
water cover and want to replace it this year with a Loop-Loc solid cover,
expensive yes but have 3 dogs and one tried to walk on the old cover and almost
drowned so I'm thinking of getting the Loop-Loc. It looks easy to install, just
need a hammer drill to drill the holes for the anchors.
