Question:
Is-it possible to practice infrared sauna in a standard bathroom?
Answer:
Yes, I believe so. I saw that somebody on the net had designed a
do-it-yourself system that basically consisted of about four infrared lamps
fitted into (I think) a plywood sheet so as to make a "wall" of infrared
energy. The basic idea being that this didn't take up much room and could
be used in a small room (like a bathroom) or large closet. Of course, you'd
probably have to turn around every now and again to get the heat all over
the body, but it seemed feasible.
In general, and as an alternative, one can buy the infrared hardware
involved with a "sauna kit" and just build your own "cabin."
As I think I mentioned, one can get a "SaunaGen" (I think that was the name)
on the internet for about two thousand dollars. It's about four feet wide,
comfortable for one, feasible for two people. It uses a type of infrared
heater that has been knocking around Asia for a decade or two.
