Answer:
I have put a lot of thought into this, as I am very much wanting to
build my own home in the next 10 years, though this date is being put
off a bit by my transition and going back to university. I hate the
current construction method and the way that it creates houses that will
MAYBE last 50 years or so. I very much like the feel of post and beam
construction (house is made up of a few large beams instead of many
2x4s, think of reneisance europe or the way that old barns are made)
seeing the beams that make up a house gives it a feeling of strength and
presence that white painted wallboard does not.
