Answer:
My uncle (a sharecropper) got the bright idea one day that instead of
carrying all that water to the tub for his bath (yes, it was a big ol'
washtub) he would just set it up on bricks, fill it with water from
the rain, then build a fire under it on bath day.
But he got tired of waiting for all that water to heat up. So he just
climbed in with the fire going and sat there taking his bath. But the
neighbor lady came walking up toward the house and in his hurry to get
out of the tub and get his clothes on he knocked the tub off the
blocks, burned his feet on the fire and tripped, then went rolling
down the hill (bare ass naked) with the washtub.
