Question:
Could someone that has stayed at both resorts give me their opinion of

Answer:
I have stayed at both and I found the rooms and amenities to be very
similar. The level of service at GF was definitely stepped-up a notch over
YC, but just by a bit. For example, they I did miss the turndown service
that GF provides and there were not as many CM's in the YC lobby areas to
handle my "every need" (i.e. no doorman, no towel guy, no greeter). On the
plus side, all the rooms at YC are under one roof so there's no walking in
the rain to get from the standard rooms to the lobby. Of course this does
mean some long and (some say confusing) hallways, but the furthest room is a
shorter walk at YC than GF. The transpiration at GF was much better since
its buses are only occasionally shared with one other resort while all the
resorts around Crescent Lake (YC, BC, BW, Swolphin) share one bus route. GF
is really only close to the MK, so all other destinations will be a long bus
ride. YC is of course very close to Epcot and MGM, and much closer to AK
and DD than GF. Personally, if I were you and had never stayed at YC, I'd
give it a try.
