Hot Springs in Texas

Question:
I'm new to hot tubs and my husband and I just started looking around the market. We like Cal spas price, options, and construction from what we can see. I've been looking around the net but can't seem to find to much . Does anyone out there own one? Can you tell me if they are as wonderful as the salesman and paperwork made them seem? Or does some have a spa of a different brand that they recomend.

Answer:
We have a 7 year old Hot Springs hot tub. It has been great, easy to clean because of the material used for the tub, and the ozonator continues to work even after this time. It has a main jet pump, and a smaller recirculating pump which runs contstantly. Both continue to work just fine and effectively. The only thing I don't like, but can't really tell you that it is drawback, is that the heater, in this model of Hot Springs, shuts off when the main jets run. However, this has been a benefit for our 12 year old daughter who doesn't like the 104 deg water. So when we get in a turn the jets on, 10 minutes later it is cool enough for her to enter. I have had a couple of jet knobs break but parts were immediately available from the dealer.

We like ours, but the maintenance can be a pain, and this will not change for any hot tub IMHO.
