Storing hot tub chemicals outside

Question:
We live in central Florida, and we have a hot tub outside. Does anyone know if storing the chemicals like bromine tablets, PH up/down (powders), scale and stain removal (liquid) in an outside cabinet would cause problems for them?

Answer:
Those that degrade over time are typically accelerated in that regard by heat and (if a dry powder or tablet) humidity. But if the containers are pretty tight and you use the contents frequently, it's probably not an issue. Some products are very stable and others are not, and typically the makers don't really tell you what's up in that regard; they don't like you know what's in there. You'd have to know the contents to know more about storage characteristics.

Liquid chlorinator (sodium hypochlorite solution) loses strength much more quickly at warm temps than cooler. I know you're probably not using that, but I just give it as an example of something that heat affects radically.

Test strips are definitely ruined by heat and humidity.
