Question:
Like to hear what your preference is and why.
Sauna or Steam Bath ?
Answer:
Both can make you hot and sweaty. But, I don't know if there is any benefit to
that other than heat acclimation. I've found that the steam room does wonders
for my sinus. I've suffered for years with sinus and allergy problems and
resultant infections. Breathing that hot steam as it comes out the jets in the
steam room at my club has nearly eliminated the problem. I've not realized the
same benefit from the sauna.
I belong to 2 gyms. One has a sauna and one a steam room. My personal
preference is the steam room. I love it. I don't really care for
saunas. I love the steam room because every few minutes eucalyptus is
sprayed out. The steam room at my gym is usually between 107 - 111. I'm
not sure what the sauna temp is.
